Newton Kerr + Partners prepare preliminary measurements and costings from schematic design documents to establish
a limit of probable costs.
We progressively update these cost estimates in line with revised design information and we provide advice on design changes. We advise on alternative methods of construction and materials to maintain cost efficiencies and project timing.
We incorporate engineering services cost estimates received from engineering consultants into the total project construction cost, confirming they remain within the overall budgeted allowances.
We advise on supply and demand status within the building industry, which could directly or indirectly affect future project costs and timing. We constantly update previous cost estimates in line with new information and designs received, also updating rates and costs to reflect any fluctuations within the building industry due to unexpected changes in labour and/or materials.
We prepare cashflow charts if required. Our Directors attend project meetings to ensure final project costs and timing are met and to maintain budget control, and we advise on types
of contracts to be used.
We engage in value management with the consultant team, examining all aspects of the project to date. This maintains project efficiencies and ensures that value is obtained for every dollar to be spent.
